Editorial Review Excerpts
“Inner, The Breath of God, Volume 1, by Ghassen Ghediri, is an epic book of poetry.
The author’s scope, the vividness of his imagery, and the profundity of his subject matter—such as God and love—make this book a wonder.
I doubt that it is possible to read this book and not question many things in the reader’s own life. Most everything that has in some way occupied or preoccupied us is here,
as if the author knew all along. And the book gives structure and meaning to it.
In this book, we are dealing with genius, and that is the author.
His bold and many-faceted style and the flavor to his writing lend themselves to his thorough expression.
I’ve edited many books, but have rarely seen genius. Here I have.
Thank you.”
“Intriguing and thought provoking, words that invite the reader to wander between meaning and revelation.”
“Ghediri’s poems might remind the reader of theologically-inflected traditions from Hafez to Elizabeth Jennings… Aphoristic and lyrical with attention to the construction of tight, compressed lines… In its dialogue with mystical and metaphysical traditions and in its attention to the possibilities of form, Inner is a worthy read, especially for audiences who dig poetic conversation with God.”
“The collection is alive and carries the reader into new subject terrains beautifully... a journey of discovery, reckoning, unraveling, and rebuilding... exploring themes often overlooked or prematurely simplified through pointed questions, nature-based metaphors, and gorgeous language.”

Because my God created me with this weakness,
He shouldn’t hold me accountable for it.
“To the seekers, the believers, the lovers,
the finders, the doubters, the climbers,
the helpers, the miners.
To the Divine in You.
To the Mystic in You.”
— The Mystikanly Poet
This book is an autopsy of a Soul. A dissection of the Spirit. A challenge to the status quo. It’s a vision, a present, a proposal. A secret spiritual map—inviting you to think, decipher, and comprehend universal notions such as God, the Self, human behavior, the cosmos, spacetime, love, emotions, faith, liberation, nature, and freedom. Each section of this book ultimately revolves around God Almighty. It emphasizes that the true treasure you’ve been searching for is right here. It’s in you. It’s You. This is a journey both inward and outward. The words serve as translations of the Soul’s conversation with the Beloved. The text is a spiritual tapestry, woven through poetry, prose, and the occasional aphorism. I’ve remained faithful to my thoughts in the structure and flow. It’s fluid, immersive, and meant to reflect life—its unpredictability, its changes, its beauty. It may pull you into the unknown, then return you to the known. It may appease, then enrage. It may provoke, then comfort. It may lift you, then drop you. It may be clear, then confusing.
This book is the one You wrote.
It contains five sections, each with three subsections. I’m multilingual, so it’s predominantly in English; however, you’ll find words in French, a few in Arabic and Latin, and a very few in Spanish, Hebrew, and ancient languages throughout. Moreover, you will notice artistic expressions through unusual spelling and word variations including but not limited to, the creation of new words that may have multiple meanings within one unique language or across languages. There are references to sacred writings, ancient mythologies, stories, legends, places and creatures. Last but not least, numbers, that appeared. Translations and certain definitions will be provided but to keep this work authentic, original versions are included with notes to guide you on pronunciation.
God Willing, this is the first volume of my first series. More to come!
